The Classical Period in Western Music History In the second of our music history video series we take a good look at the Classical Period in Western Music History. Ranging from around 1750 to about 1820, this is the period that brought us some of the most notable and popular names in the craft, including three of the biggest - Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven. The Classical Period was a time of structural focus in music; form was everything, and many of the musical structures we use today were solidified during this time. In this video you'll get an overview of the most important of these forms, and explore a wealth of other introductory information for the period. (And, yes, we'll also cover what the difference is between "classical" and "Classical!")
